[속보-최종] 메르세데스 벨기에GP 사고 대책회의 결과.....

영국 시간으로 오늘 아침, 우리 시간으로 오늘 오후, 브렉클리의 메르세데스AMG페트로나스F1팀 팩토리에서 패디 로, 토토 볼프, 니코 로즈버그, 루이스 해밀턴이 출석한 가운데 '벨기에GP 사고 대책'을 의제로 회의가 있었습니다.

멜세데스는 방금 전 공식 성명을 발표했는데요.  그 내용은 다음과 같습니다.

"회의에서, 니코 로즈버그는 벨기에 그랑프리 랩2에서 있었던 접촉은 자신의 잘못이라고 인정했고 판단의 잘못에 대해 사과를 했습니다."

"사고에 대한 적정한 징계가 내려졌구요."

"메르세데스-벤츠는 공정한 레이싱을 드라이버에게 맡기는 것을 유지합니다.  왜냐하면 그것이 월드 챔피언쉽에서 승리하기 위한 올바른 방법이기 때문입니다.  그것이 팀을 위해서나 팬들을 위해, 포뮬러원을 위해서 좋습니다."

"루이스와 니코는 팀의 제 1 원칙 - 팀의 차로 트랙에서 접촉해선 안된다 - 을 이해하고 동의했습니다."

"또다시 이와 같은 사고가 재발할 시엔 관용이 있을 수 없슴을 분명히 했습니다.  하지만 니코와 루이스는 우리의 드라이버고 우린 그들을 믿습니다."

"2014 포뮬러원 월드 챔피언쉽에서 그들의 자유로운 레이스는 계속됩니다."

 

하지만 발표 직 후 "적정한 징계"가 무엇인지 궁금해하는 의견들이 많았는데요.  방금 로즈의 페이스북에 독일어와 영어로 된 공식 사과문이 올라왔네요....아래는 공식 사과문 전문입니다.

In den Tagen seit dem Großen Preis von Belgien in Spa habe ich viel Zeit damit verbracht, um darüber nachzudenken, was während des Rennens geschehen ist. Dies habe ich auch mit dem Team besprochen.
Ich habe bereits mein Bedauern über den Zwischenfall zum Ausdruck gebracht. Nachdem ich mich heute mit Toto, Paddy und Lewis getroffen habe, möchte ich einen Schritt weitergehen und den Vorfall als eine... Fehleinschätzung meinerseits bezeichnen.
Die oberste Regel unseres Teams lautet, dass wir nicht kollidieren. Aber genau das ist passiert.
Für diese Fehleinschätzung möchte ich mich beim Team und bei Lewis entschuldigen. Es tut mir auch leid für die Fans, die in Belgien um unseren Kampf um die Führung gebracht wurden.
Lewis und mir wurden klare Anweisungen gegeben, wie wir gegeneinander zu fahren haben.
Als Fahrer haben wir eine klare Verantwortung für das Team, die Fans unseres Sports, unsere Partner und Mercedes-Benz, sauberen Rennsport zu zeigen. Diese Verantwortung nehmen wir sehr ernst.
Ich freue mich darauf, die Saison mit einem harten, aber fairen Wettkampf auf und neben der Strecke abzuschließen, der bis zur letzten Runde der Saison in Abu Dhabi anhält.

In the days since the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what happened during the race and discussing it with the team.
I have already expressed my regret about the incident but, after meeting with Toto, Paddy and Lewis today, I wish to go a step further and describe it as an error of judgement on my part.
The number one rule for us as team-mates is that we must not collide but that is exactly what happened.
For that error of judgement, I apologise to Lewis and the team. I also want to say sorry to the fans who were deprived of our battle for the lead in Belgium.
Lewis and I have been given clear instructions about how we race each other.
As drivers, we have a clear responsibility to the team, the fans of the sport, our partners and Mercedes-Benz to deliver clean racing. We take that responsibility very seriously.
I look forward to concluding the season with hard, fair competition on and off track right up to the final lap of the season in Abu Dhabi.

스파에서 열린 벨지언 그랑프리에서, 무슨 일이 일어났었는지에 대해 팀과 얘길 나누면서 많은 생각을 했습니다. 

난 이미 사고에 대해 후회하고 있다고 말했지만, 토토와 패디 그리고 루이스와 회의가 끝난 후, 난 다시 한 번 추가적으로 내 판단의 잘못을 설명하길 바랬습니다.

우리 팀메이트간의 넘버원 룰은 절대 사고를 일으키지 않는다는 것이었지만 그것이 일어났습니다.  판단의 잘못으로, 난 루이스와 팀에 사과했습니다.  또한 우리의 싸움으로 벨기에에서 리드를 빼앗긴 것에 대해 팬들께 사과드리고 싶습니다.

루이스와 나는 서로 어떻게 레이스를 해야 하는지에 대해 분명한 지시를 받았습니다.

드라이버로서, 우린 팀에 대해, 팬들에 대해, 스포츠에 대해, 우리의 파트너에 대해 그리고 메르세데스-벤츠에 대해 깨끗한 레이싱을 가져다 줘야 하는 명백한 책임이 있습니다.  우린 그 책임을 통감합니다.

저는 시즌이 끝나는 아부다비 마지막 랩까지 트랙 안팎에서 공정한 경쟁을 펼치며 시즌을 확실하게 마무리 하려 합니다.

로즈버그의 반성문과 더불어 루이스 해밀턴도 자신의 홈페이지에 메세지를 남겼습니다.

Today we came together as a team and discussed our differences. Nico and I accept that we have both made mistakes and I feel it would be wrong to point fingers and say which one is worse than the other. What’s important is how we rise as a team from these situations. We win and we lose together and, as a team, we will emerge stronger.

There is a deep foundation that still exists for me and Nico to work from, in spite of our difficult times and differences. We have the greatest team, the strongest group of individuals who have worked their hands to the bone to give us the best car you see us racing today. It’s important that we never forget that and give them the results they deserve. Today, Toto and Paddy told us clearly how we must race against each other from now on in a fair and respectful manner. 

The fans want to see a clean fight until the end of the season and that’s what we want to give them. It’s going to be a tough road from here but Championships have been won from much further back than I am now. And I promise you that I will be giving everything and more to win this for my team, for my family and for my fans.

오늘 우린 팀으로서 함께 우리의 다른 생각을 얘기했습니다.  니코와 나는 둘 다 실수했슴을 인정했고, 나는 손가락으로 가리키며 어느 한 쪽이 다른쪽보다 더 잘못됐슴을 얘기한 것이 잘못됐다고 생각합니다.  중요한 것은 우리가 어떻게 팀을 지금 상황에서 견인해 나아가는가 입니다.  우리가 팀으로서 승패를 함께 하면, 우린 더욱 강해질 것입니다.

힘든 시간과 다른 생각에도 불구하고 니코와 내가 일을 대하는 근본은 여전히 같습니다.  우린 최고의 팀, 최고의 차를 만들어줘 레이스를 하게 해 준 사람들의 모임을 가졌습니다.  중요한 것은 우린 그들에게 걸맞는 결과를 가져다 주는 것을 절대 잊지 않았다는 것입니다.  오늘 토토와 패디는 우리가 이제부터 서로 레이스를 하는데에 있어서 어떻게 해야 공정하고 예를 갖춘 것인지 분명하게 말해줬습니다.

팬들은 시즌 말까지 깨끗한 대결을 보길 원하고 우린 그것을 보여주길 원합니다.  앞으로 험난한 길이 열릴 것이지만 챔피언쉽 승리는 챔피언쉽은 계속 이겨왔고 이길것입니다.  그리고 나의 모든 것을 바쳐 더 많은 승리를 팀과 가족과 팬들에게 가져다 드릴 것을 약속 합니다.
